Who am I?
I am a Final Cut Pro editor with over ten years experience of cutting broadcast television for major UK broadcasters such as ITV1, BBC One, Channel 4 and Five.

I live in the Pennines and work across the north of England, particularly Manchester and Leeds.

What do I do?
After cutting my teeth as a tech op and Avid editor at Yorkshire Television I have worked since 2002 in the competitive freelance market in the north of England as well as in Bristol, London and Sydney.

Having previously cut on tape, Avid and Quantel Editbox, I am now a specialist on Final Cut Pro. I am a fast and hard working editor with strong story telling skills and a passion for turning challenging ideas into compelling television.

I am easy going and cool under pressure. I have good communication skills and form strong relationships with producers to help them realise their creative visions. I also work well unsupervised and under my own initiative.

I allow the material I am cutting to dictate the pace of the edit and use music sympathetically where it will add something to a piece. Most of my experience is in cutting ob docs, factual entertainment, news, features and sport, especially football.
